I'm stressing because tomorrow is Thanksgiving and my idea to do a meal with close friends turned into a feast for twelve people. I'm totally unprepared and don't know who's going to be helping me cook tomorrow. I don't even have grocery lists together yet. Today I bought the ingredients to make pumpkin pie but couldn't find pumpkin puree. This means that I have to blend up a fresh pumpkin. Fortunately, one of Flo's neighbors has a blender that I can probably use, and then I'll have to whip them up and bake them in his toaster oven. Unless they live in a real house, French people seem to go without real ovens. This doesn't seem to majorly inconvenience them but it's making me CRAZY.
I was supposed to go into town tonight to Monika and Arabella's for a smoothie night but now there's absolutely no chance I'm going to make it. I just have too much to do. Fortunately, Florient is planning to help me with the pie, and hopefully Colin will, too. I know that I can't expect people to just jump in a help cook a meal that, culturally, they know nothing about, but I'm in way over my head and really need help!
